Vetus 13/19/25/32mm Airvent + Valve AIRVENTV
The Vetus Anti-Syphon Airvent Type V has a reliable pressure valve and is self contained. It requires periodic maintenance to prevent clogging with salt crystals. Even if the vent is blocked, accidental syphoning cannot occur, fully protecting your engine. Can be connected to hoses with internal diameters of 13, 19, 25 and 32 mm (½, ¾, 1 & 1¼.). Why fit an anti-syphon device? If the point where the cooling water is injected into the exhaust is less than 15cms above the waterline, then when the engine is stopped, there is a risk that cooling water will siphon into the exhaust system and subsequently into the engine itself. Such siphoning may be prevented by fitting a VETUS air vent at least 40cm above the waterline. Materials Housing: Made of synthetic material. Valve: Made of synthetic and stainless steel. Mounting brackets are available for both types of air vent, to facilitate installation onto surfaces clad with sound insulation.
